gcc-2.2.2 bug on hk9k730 hpux 8.07
#290
Author: Heiko Blume

54 lines
2093 bytes
setup:
hp 9000/730 with hpux 8.07
gas-1.36-utah comiled with stupid cc
gcc configured for hp730-hpux, make'd for c and c++ CFLAGS -g -O,
compiles, compares and installs ok.

i now proceed to type in all the **** from hardcopy :-(

the following stripped down C file from emacs exercises the bug:

#ifdef enable_the_the
#define bcopy(a,b,s)	memcpy(b,a,s)
#endif

#include "lisp.h"

DEFUN("copy-char-table",Fcopy_char_table,Scopy_char_table, 0, 1, 0,
	"blah")
	(table)
	Lisp_object table;

	register struct Lisp_Chartab *ot;
	register struct Lisp_Chartab *nt;

	bcopy (((char *) &ot->ct_frameg), ((char *) &nt->ct-Frameg),
	sizeof(struct Lisp_chartab) - sizeof(struct Lisp_Etctab));
}

gcc -g -O -c bug2.c -Denable_the_bug
bug2.c: in function 'Fcopy_char_table':
bug.c:23: internal error-unrecognizable insn:
(insn 16 15 17 (parallel[
		(set (mem:BLK (reg:SI 123))
			(mem:BLK (reg:SI 124)))
		(clobber (reg:SI 123))
		(clobber (reg:SI 124))
		(clobber (scratch:SI))
		(clobber (scratch:SI))
		(use (const_int 12344))
		(use (const_int 4))
	] ) (insn_list 13 insn_list 15 (nil)))
	(expr_list:REG_UNUSED (reg:SI 123)
		(expr_list:REG_UNUSED (reg:SI 124)
			(expr_list:REG_UNUSED (scratch:SI)
				(expr_list:REG_UNUSED (scratch:SI)
					(nil))))))
gcc: Internal compiler error: program cc1 got fatal signal 6

either compiling without -O or without -D... prevents the fault.
