HELP - gcc & libg++ version2 install on dec vax bsd4.3

 Am having trouble installing gcc 2.2.2 & libg++-2.2 on a dec vax running
bsd 4.3 (tahoo). Anyone installed this. I get failures in the "make check" for
libg++-2.2. An illegal inst with tFile. If you have been sucessful with
the above hardware/software i would like to know. And if possible what you
did to get it installed.
