This is probably a frequently asked question but I don't usually have time to follow this newsgroup so here goes. I am using a gcc cross compiler to produce 68020 executable code, I have been working with Gnu C for a couple of years and am quite happy with it. Unfortunately I have to tweak some of the cpu intensive loops and need to insert some assembly code. The intermediary assembly code produced by our compiler seems to be in Sun format, I think, but not having a Sun I can't check. Unfortunately our dissassebmler and my brain both work in a different mnemonic format, standard Motorola format I suppose since that is what appears in the 68020 manual (move.l instead of movl etc). So simply put is there a version of the gnu C compiler for the 680x0 which will eat and produce the mnemonics as they appear in the 68020 User's Manual? Failing that does anyone have a listing of the mnemonics that the compiler will eat/produce so that I can reconfigure my brain to correspond to the compiler.
