I seem to have gcc 2.1 up and running on a hp-730 running HP-UX 8.07,
and been having problems compiling the c++ library.

The g++ compiler came up no problem but haven't been able to compile the
c++ library.  

Do I need some as yet unreleased gnu utilities?
