GCC 2.2.2 is the current version of GCC version 2.  We still
consider GCC version 2 in beta test because we are constantly adding
features to it, rather than maintaining it for stability.

Meanwhile, I am maintaining GCC version 1 for stability.  I hope to
release GCC 1.41 soon.  I am looking for additional people to pretest
it.  To be a pretester, you should be prepared to compile some large
programs and, if they don't work, find out which line has been
miscompiled so you can send me a bug report I can work with.

Please send me mail if you would like to pretest.
