Problems with options of GCC

Hi

I am using Gcc2.2.2 on Sun Sparc machine. My problem is that
I am trying to compile a software whose makefile uses the
the following options of GCC:

-fPIC
-Wmissing-prototype
-Wall
-Werror

But when I try to compile , I get error saying that 
the above options are invalid. So, I want to the know
options in GCC2.2.2 that I should use instead of
the above ones.
