Tools to build gnu cross compiler...

Dear netters,

I am trying to generate a cross compiler from gcc-2.2.2 (host: sun sparc,
target: board using m68k processor). However, the INSTALL file in the
gcc-2.2.2 package seems to suggest that I would need a cross-assmelber,
cross-linker, 'ar', and 'ranlib' to build the cross compiler. Does anybody
in the net knows where I can get a gnu version of the above required tools?

I suppose I can get gas-1.38.1 for the cross-assembler (is this true?), but
what about the cross-linker, 'ar', and 'ranlib'?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!
