GCC for 3090/AIX?

Do any of you know of a GCC port to the IBM 3090 family
running AIX?

We've been looking for such a beast for quite awhile. I
did find the mvs.* config files for the 370 architecture
from a source overseas, and I do have Chuck Simmons v1.18
Amdahl port.

I moved the v1.18 port to the v1.40 level fairly successfully
only to find that the assembly output of gcc is bad for the
native C compiler we have. /bin/as chokes on a test.s file
that my gcc-1.40 creates. The format of the test.s file is
considerably different from the native cc -S output.

So... I'm hoping that someone out there in netland has
done this AIX port for the 3090 and can send me the necessary
configuration files.

Thanks much.
