I just received the latest issue of Circuit Cellar Ink today. On page 7 in the new products section the GCB11 68HC11F1 based SBC was announced. The SBC comes with a port of GNU C for the 6811 with DOS as the host environment for the cross compiler. Complete source is supposedly supplied (I interpret this to include source for GNU C). No mention is made of which version of GNU C is supplied. The price for the SBC with all software (including GNU C) is listed as having a price of $179 (presumably in single quantities). I'm thinking of getting this SBC just to get the port of GNU C. Thanks to the GPL, even if they don't supply source for GNU C, I'll still be able to get it from them (in theory). The company selling this is Coactive Asthetics, Inc.; P.O. Box #425967; San Francisco, CA 94142; Voice: 415-626-5152; FAX: 415-626-6320. Hopefully the 6811 bits will get rolled back into the standard distribution of GNU C at some point. -- -- Ron Pool; Electronic Technology Group; B-15 Wing Hall; Ithaca, NY 14853 Internet: ron_p@cce.cornell.edu
