glibc-1.04 installation problems

I have problems to install the glibc-1.04 on a sun sparc station with sunos 4.1.2.
At first I run the configuration script in the top level directory of glibc-1.04
and after that the (GNU) make (Version 3.62) command. 
The 2 commands are producing the following output:

# configure sparc-sun-sunos4.1.2 --prefix=/appl/gnu/Global
Configuring the GNU C Library for `sparc-sun-sunos4.1.2'.
Using system-dependent files from directories:
unix/bsd/sun/sunos4 unix/bsd/sun/sparc unix/bsd/sun unix/bsd sparc
# make -w
make: Entering directory `/tmp_mnt/appl/gnu-source/glibc-1.04'
Makeconfig:72: extraneous text after `include'
make: sysdeps/..: Is a directory.  Stop.
make: Leaving directory `/tmp_mnt/appl/gnu-source/glibc-1.04'


Can anybody tell me what's going wrong ?
