If you get a "internal compiler error" message from GCC, please consider this a bug, and follow the recommendations in the Bugs chapter in the GCC manual. This chapter also contains guidelines for how to decide whether an event calls for a bug report, so it's a good idea for everyone to read the chapter if you haven't read it since version 2.2.2 came out. GCC version 2 is a program in beta test. It has bugs, and those bugs ought to be fixed. That can only happen if you do your part of the job and report them in a useful way.
