I am trying to build gcc-2.2.2 on the host machine for the Intel hypercube. The 'cube is an iPSC/2. The host machine I am trying to build the compiler for is an Intel machine, 386 processor running UNIX sysv r3.2. It looks like a Microsoft port of ATT sysv r3.2. I have configured to system to build gcc for i386-att-sysv3. When I go to compile it, the -g option is set for every file. This causes assembler errors in several of the files (rtl.c for example). I can get the system to compile all the .c files by removing the -g option, but then when the system begins to compile what I guess are its library functions (like _builtin_New or _mulsi3) the newly built gcc craps out with an internal error. Can anyone shed some light on this or give me some suggestions. Ed Ed Loyot Graduate Student Dept. of Computer Science University of Virginia email: ecl2v@virginia.edu
