Hello: According to the INSTALL file included with gcc2.3.1, the instructions still state that: "the -g option will not work on HP-UX 8.0" The only way to get around this they mentioned was to use the (--gas)? option when compiling gcc. This is not supported on anything other than the HPPA architecture.
