I tried two versions of gcc for os/2. I can't remeber where the first came from but it was a chore. The filenames were incompatible with a FAT file system and there were several other problems in getting simple programs to work. I switched to emx/gcc 0.8e from ftp-os2.nmsu.edu in /pub/os2/2.0/programming/emx? It installed no problem, it ran simple programs no problem. The readmes with it claim a wider range of output file formats than my previously attempted gcc, both dos exe and os2 exe. I have yet to try a C++ program, manyly because I have never programmed C++. Maybe someone else has more information or other ideas. You may want to try the comp.os2.programmer news group, there are many gcc users there. Matt
