howdy,

I'm running gcc 2.2.2 on a DECStation 5000/240. When I try to compile my
code with the -pg (gprof) option, I get the following messages:

	ld:
Can't open: gcrt0.o (No such file or directory)
collect: /usr/bin/ld returned 1 exit status

The questions are:

1.	What is gcrt0.o? What's in it?

2.	Where should this file (gcrt0.o) be located? I have found crt0.o in
/lib, but it isn't the right one for gprof, is it?

3.	If I don't have the necessary file on my system, can I get it from
somewhere else? I've looked in gatekeeper.dec.com with no luck.
	Any ideas?

Thanks.
