gcc on a Stardent Stellar?

I have recently started a postdoctoral position, and am now using a Stardent
Stellar, which does not have a C++ compiler. I would like to have access to
such a compiler, because (among other reasons) it would be nice to get
idraw working on this machine. The stellex operating system is not one of the
choices in the gcc distribution, however. My questions, then:

1) Has anybody managed to get gcc working on a Stellar? How about InterViews?

2) If not, is there any PD drawing package, written in C, that will import
the (postscript) graphics output of Gnu graphics, as idraw will?
