i have found some things in the vms gcc 1.42 distribution that should
be brought to the attention of the appropriate persons, but my mail to
the bugs list brought replies which suggested that that was an
inappropriate forum.  does anyone know what the proper bugs list is
for the VMS port?

Please mail GCC bug reports to bug-gcc@prep.ai.mit.edu,
unless they pertain to C++, in which case bug-g++@prep is preferred.
If people said that was the wrong place, they are mistaken.

Please read the Bugs chapter in the GCC manual to see what a bug
report needs to have in order to enable the maintainers to fix a bug.
