GCC on ATT 3B2

I am trying to compile gcc 2.3.3 on an ATT 3B2 1000/70
I am getting the following error when building cc1:

ld fatal: fail to write symbol name reg_class in string table for
          file cc1

Has anyone seen this error and know the solution?

Has anyone built gcc/g++ on an ATT 3B2 before?

Does anyone know of an ftp site where I can get already compiled
binaries of GNU products such as gcc, g++, gdb, etc for the ATT 3B2?

Thanks,
Dave Goldsmith

Try increasing your ulimit. The default is 1 MB, and the executable
is over 1 MB in size.

Yup, a couple times.

gcc and g++ (no libraries, yet) binaries are available from
ucqais.cba.uc.edu
