Well... I have solarix 2.5 x86 on a laptop.

I don't have /usr/ucb/cc but I have loaded the gcc files.
I can't compile them! It needs cc. Any other way to compile it?
THanks.

Many GNU ftp archives have a subdirectory named sparc-sun-solaris2
with a gcc-binaries.x.y.tar.gz file containing binaries for version
x.y of the compiler. Grab it, install it, and build your new
GCC with it.

Sorry, missed the x86 the first time. Somebody somewhere has
a pre-compiled Solaris x86 compiler, but I don't remember where.
My old Solaris x86 machine got blown up (overwritten with Win95,
a fate worse than death) so I can't help you there. Sorry.
Anyone out there in net-land got that x86 binary set?
