I have a friend that's been using printfs to debug VxWorks code. I
mentioned that gdb might be a solution. to say the least he's excited.
his only question is can gdb be used with version 4.x.x of VxWorks, since
this is what his company uses and they will not be converting to version 5.x
in the near future.

so will gdb work with version 4.x.x of VxWorks? also is there a difference
between the 4.x.x and 5.x stubs? thanks.
