Ok, one more try. Last time my mail address was distroyed by something...
I'm interested in having gdb 4.6 work with the IEEE object code format, but
nothing in the manual ("Debugging with GDB") says anything about it. So my
conclusion is that it doesn't accept that format. But in the bfd subdirectory
I found a file called ieee.c . What's the purpose of that file?
When I tried to load a file containing the IEEE format it recognized it but
it couldn't work with it.
The output GDB produced was :
"I'm sorry, Dave, I can't do that. Symbol format `ieee' unknown."
Hmmmmmm......Very confusing...
Are there any plans on making GDB accept the IEEE format in the near future.
or does it already accept it but I've missed something???????
/Patrik
