Can I add to the list (on SUN4, gcc 2.3.x and SunOS 4.1.1) the bug in
4.7 (not in 4.6 or previous) that "attach" fails?

I tried posting this to gnu.g++.bugs, but I guess the moderator did not see fit to pass it
through:

I am running gdb 4.7 on a Sun 4/330, compiled via gcc 2.2.2 with -O2 and -g specified.
I am using it to debug c++ programs compiled with gcc/g++ 2.2.2 with the -g option.

This new version is driving me crazy! I timed it today, and to do a step, stepi, or next
command takes 22 seconds! Are other people finding this to be the case as well, or is
something wrong?

Also, gdb 4.7 dumps core when I ask it to print the return value of many of my
member functions. I have not yet been able to duplicate this in a small bit of code (my
program is > 10,000 lines).

I am most concerned about how slow it is--I cannot afford to wait 20 minutes to step
through a single subroutine"!

Any tips, advice, ideas, would be very welcome.

Thanks.
