Hi! In addition to my previous post on compiling gdb-4.7 on HP 730 (hppa1.1 running hpux) and the patch posted here, I still am not able to get a running version of gdb. It seems that everything compiles, but when linking gdb I get the following output: cc -g -o gdb \ init.o version.o main.o blockframe.o breakpoint.o findvar.o stack.o \ source.o values.o eval.o valops.o valarith.o valprint.o printcmd.o \ symtab.o symfile.o symmisc.o infcmd.o infrun.o remote.o command.o \ utils.o expprint.o environ.o gdbtypes.o copying.o mem-break.o \ target.o ieee-float.o putenv.o parse.o language.o c-exp.tab.o \ m2-exp.tab.o buildsym.o objfiles.o minsyms.o maint.o demangle.o \ dbxread.o coffread.o elfread.o dwarfread.o xcoffread.o mipsread.o \ stabsread.o core.o inflow.o ./../bfd/libbfd.a \ ./../readline/libreadline.a -ltermcap ./../opcodes/libopcodes.a \ ./../mmalloc/libmmalloc.a ./../libiberty/libiberty.a /bin/ld: Unsatisfied symbols: pa_do_registers_info (code) find_dummy_frame_regs (code) frame_saved_pc (code) deposit_21 (code) extract_14 (code) extract_21 (code) frame_chain_valid (code) print_insn (code) exec_file_command (code) re_exec (code) re_comp (code) exec_bfd (data) deposit_14 (code) hp_push_arguments (code) *** Error code 1 Stop. It seems as if not the right include files are used, where these functions are defined. In general, I find the configure script not very good. It needs some handwork, and I, not being an expert on how gdb should be configured, and what files are needed for HP, will probably forget some important things. Any help is greatly appreciated! -- I am: Fokke de Boer EMAIL mtvfb@rivm.nl SNAIL RIVM, dep. MTV, PO Box 1, 3720 BA Bilthoven, The Netherlands PHONE (..31) 30 743530 FAX (..31) 30 250740
