Gdb-4.7 on SS2 (SunOS 4.1.1), configured with `Configure sparc'. While debugging programs compiled with `gcc-2.2.2' we have problems with the `s' (step) command in `gdb'. We cannot step into functions that are defined in a module different from the module we stopped after a breakpoint. The debugged program is linked with shared libraries that are compiled with `gcc-2.2.2' and the `-g' flag. We don't try to step into library functions. `s' into a static function is no problem. Is it a known problem in `gdb-4.7'. `Gdb-4.6' works when we try to do the same thing. Piotr Nestorow TeleLOGIC Nalmo AB, SWEDEN E-mail: Piotr.Nestorow@telelogic.se

If you send us a real bug report instead of a rumor of a bug, we'll look at the problem. John Gilmore
