I've had some problems compiling gdb-4.7 for our Pyramid 90x, I'm not exactly sure about how the configuring is supposed to work, but I've tried 'configure pyramid' and 'configure pyramid-unknown-bsd' and both seems to do the same thing. First of all I got some warnings about bfd & opcodes not supporting pyramid. But I thought that they might not be needed so I edited the Makefile in the gdb dir to use 'CC=gdb -traditional' and then I tried to compile there.... That's when the real problems popped up. In all the pyramid-specific files there was errors, mostly relating to include-files in the wrong place and non-declared external variables. Is this due to the release or our configuration? If it's the release then it would be nice to have it fixed. /albert_e@lysator.liu.se

Yes, in gdb-4.* there is not yet support for Pyramid 90x. There has some
effort been made (not by me), and post-mortem cross-debugging seems to work.
But running gdb-4* on a 90x fails, the biggest problem is, once again, the
difficulties with gcc and varargs. I myself still use an enhanced version
of gdb-3.6 on our Pyramid clone. (Look on ftp.tu-bs.de:pub/gnu/*{gdb,pyr}*)
