Here is a beginners's question.

I want to use ghostscript to input ps graphs into a document. 
The procedure is as follows. Uniras generates postscript. Ghostscript 
2.4.1 (DOS) makes a gif out of postscript file. Bm2font converts 
the gif into TeX fonts. TeX formats the document. emTeX's dvidrv
drives produces the hardcopy.

I agree that this procedure is a bit involved. Its main advantage
is that I can actually preview the graph. Note also that dvips
is not an alternative for me.

My problem is that I would like the picture to be exactly 6.25in
wide (European A4 - 2in margin). I have instructed Uniras
to do that, but for I do not know how to interpret its output,
I am not sure that it works.

The next step is to give the correct instructions to ghostscript.
Here I tried -r300x300 at first (my printer is 300dpi, and
bm2font will generate the corresponding fonts). The resulting TeX
box is overfull.

Then I tried -r300x300 -g1875x1875. The resulting box 
is only 200 and something printer points, and the upper
part of the graph is missing.

My questions are

** Should I add a preamble to the ps file to ensure that the 
   width is 6.25in, and how does this preamble look like?
 
** What dimensions should I give to ghostscript?

I would be most grateful for any answer to that problem. Please
reply directly. I will summarize if need there is.
