The following simple TeX file (using pstricks) creates a document that
doesn't come out right in gs or ghostview. I convert it from dvi to ps
using dvips. The color of the text should change from black to red in
the middle of the line. But gs and ghostview show the whole line as
black.
Pageview shows the expected color change, so I expect the ps file is
correct and gs/ghostview are doing something wrong. Of course, the ps
file has quite a complicated prologue.
Yes, I do have the default colormap correctly installed. This color
shows up correctly in other situations. It just won't show up in the
middle of a line. (Whole lines of text this color do work correctly,
for instance.)
I need this sort of thing for class display on an X terminal, where I
can't use pageview. I need to be able to highlight words with color.
