I am not sure if this is the correct news group, and if it is inappropriate I apologize. I installed X11R5 on a SUN IPX (4.1.2) and then installed GS2.4. The font documentation implies that GS uses the MIT X11 fonts but GS fails to find any fonts other than the default UGLY font. Is there a necessity to install separate fonts for GS? If this is so, why does the font.doc file refer to the use of the X11 fonts? I would rather not replicate the fonts in another directory for GS to use if this can be avoided. Again I apologize for the neophyte question..... Thanks for any help or pointers you can provide....
