When using the tseng device driver, gs386 2.5 produces skewed and illegible screen displays when fed some files -- apparently only files that use a screen larger than the tseng resolution, such as those intended for a printer. This dies not happen if the vga device is chosen: instead, the bottom portion of the page (as much as will fit on a vga screen) is correctly shown. My system is a 386-33 with 8MB, running DOS 5.0, with a Tseng ET4000 + Sierra RAMDAC card with 1MB of VRAM. I am using the precompiled gs386.exe from the gs25 distribution. gs386 works fine on all the sample ps files in the gs25 distribution. Has anyone else seen this, and possibly found a workaround? -- Richard Reiner........rreiner@nexus.yorku.ca........416-538-3947 Learning, n.
