Ghostscript is released as a unit; the executables, gs_init.ps, and
the other gs_*.ps files work together.  That is why I added a
specific test in gs_init.ps to make sure the executable and
gs_init.ps were compatible with each other.  If the mirror sites are
only copying part of the distribution, they are doing the wrong
thing: take this up with them.  I won't even answer bug reports from
users who have patched configurations together out of files from
different releases.
