GS 2.5.2 and gcc 2.2.2 on SunOS 4.1.2

I compiled GS 2.5.2 with gcc 2.2.2 (gcc -O2) on a Sun
IPX and ELCs running SunOS 4.1.2. The problem only seemed to
occur using Courier (an unfortunate choice of font for it to
crop up in)... the text would smudge when drawing arcs. Everything
else was fine, but any arcs drawn would smudge badly. It looks
like an arithmetic error, as the smudge tends to stretch the letter
outlines to form diagonals instead of curves.

Recompiling with Sun cc avoids the problem (with cc -O2).
