pardon the ignorance of the person posting this article. my school RPI has a high volume laser printer - Xerox 8790 and they are getting two Xerox 4850's. They tell us , "don't print anything but dvi and plain text files." And so we submit to the authority of the mighty computing center. We also have ghostscript, but it is only compiled with the X11 driver. They don't want to upgrade the Xerox printers to postscript because they say that it would slow them down. does anyone have a Xerox driver or a dvi driver? I might be able to convince them to recompile ghostscript. thanks, phil
