I just want to say Thank You to the people who write Ghostscript and put it out in the public domain, especially to Peter Deutsch and George Cameron. It is truly wonderful to be able to attach a $300 printer (such as the HP Deskjet) to a UNIX box, add a $70 font package (the Adobe Type Manager, available at any big computer store) and be able to produce documents that look every bit as good as the ones on the $2000 laser printer. For $700 plus the cost of ATM, I can have color with the HP 550C. Works great with a Sun and Solaris 2.1's standard lp printer spooler package (the SVR4 package.) It is now practical to put a cheap printer on people's desktops instead of sharing and hiking. It's also practical to have Postscript at home. You've made my day, folks! Thanks! Mark Horton
