When I executed this code on my copy of Ghostscript 2.5.2, it
correctly returned a clipping box that had been inset to reflect the
unprintable region.  I wonder why you get different results.  The
test I ran was:
	gs -sDEVICE=ljetplus
	GS>initclip clippath pathbbox pstack
	792.0
	586.8
	14.16
	24.96
