Probblems with HP-Laserjet Drivers and Compression

Hello

i have problems with laserjet.dev ljet3.dev ljet2p.dev ljetplus.dev.

My configuration:

Ultrix4.1, gs-2.5.2, HPIII, HPIIIP, HPIIIsi(i know that the IIIsi understands P*stScr*pt)

when i convert golfer.ps (or other ps-files) with

gs -q -dNOPAUSE -sPAPERSIZE=a4 -sDEVICE=laserjet|ljet3|ljet2p|ljetplus
   -sOutputFile=golfer.lj|lj3|lj2p|ljp golfer.ps

only the laserjet and ljetplus gives acceptable results (but not good, the left
margain ist messed up) and ljet3 or ljet2p makes a lot of nonsense on my
HPIIIsi.

the poosible mistake is, that i tried to test all HPIII* on a HPIIIsi
did i make an error or are the drivers broken?

hint: i wish to use gs as a driver for dvi files on HPIII printers without
      the P*stScr*pt language via

bash$ dvips file | gs -q -dNOPAUSE -sPAPERSIZE=a4 -sDEVICE=ljet3 -sOutputFile=file.ljet3 -

thanks in advance for any hints
Charly
