I want to use Ghostscript for a slide projector under VMS and Ultrix. Since both systems have DPS installed there are type 1 fonts already on the system. Having read the licence very carefully, I think I am allowed to use them for this purpose, but when I tried this with the Avant-Garde-Book font it did not work. On VMS the curves of the lower case letters have horizontal discontinuities, and with Ghostscript compiled on AIX, the font does not load, giving an error message. I would post the font, but I am not sure it is allowed. Is this problem known? Is it a bug in the font or in Ghostscript. Is the problem being ignored because it isnt a legal use of the fonts? I have gs 2.5.2. Thanks in advance. -- Erik Corry (InnoData) innodata@orion.informatik.uni-freiburg.de Tel +49 7633 2081 Fax: +49 7633 150246

With ghostscript 2.5.2 compiled under AIX 3.1.5 I get the same behavior
described above for VMS. (Times, Helvetica, etc. seem to render alright.)
