G'day there,
I have just installed Ghostscript 2.5.2 on a DS5900 running Ultrix 4.2a, and
have succesfully (?) compiled the source. THe only problem appears to be a
string of "Unaligned access" kernel messages whenever I process a file after
setting the page size to A4 for an ln03 printer (the other device I have
installed is a HP Laserjet - I didn't use X11 as we don't need it).
This occurs using either of the -sPAPERSIZE=a4 or -g595x842 switches.
I compiled the source using the unix-ansi.mak file. I suspected I had to set
the -DBSD4.2 compile flag, but this resulted in a string of errors, so I
compiled without it.
The contents of the arch.h file as produced by genarch is shown below.
#define arch_is_big_endian 0
#define arch_align_short_mod 2
#define arch_align_long_mod 4
#define arch_align_float_mod 4
#define arch_align_double_mod 8
#define arch_sizeof_short 2
#define arch_sizeof_int 4
#define arch_sizeof_long 4
#define arch_floats_are_IEEE 1
#define arch_arith_rshift 2
#define arch_can_shift_full_long 0
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
