Hi,
Is anybody working on enhancing GS Epson driver
to include ability to use 360x360 resolution?

Or could somebody tell what's to be done to the
existing driver, and how huge this modification
	is going to be?

	Thanks!

The maximum resolution for Epson 24-pin printers (according to my manual
for the Epson LQ-570) is 360 (horiz) x 180 (vert). I would think the
other Epson 24-pin printer models have the same resolution. To print
at maximum resolution, include "-r360x180" in the command line.

Incorrect. LQ-570 is pretty old, I think. Anyway, LQ-1000, LQ-2000,
LQ-1500 do support 360x360 resolution, as does my Panasonic KP X-1124.
And they claim it to be fully Epson-compatible (which so far I found
to be true).

360x360 resolution works, because I've been able to print TeX (well,
DVI :-) files on it (of course after running them through "dvi2nec"
driver, which supports 360x360).

My question stays:
Is anybody working on Epson (LQ-1500 and better :-)
driver to support 360x360 resolution? If not - could
somebody geve me help/advice on how to enhance the
	existing driver?

Thanks, but:
	a) That's NOT what I asked for.
	b) It's not maximum printer resolution.
	c) I need to support fonts with square resolution,
so your advice is unacceptable. Besides, "dvips"
	   doesn't quite understand "360x180", I think.
