I'm making ghostscript 2.5.2 from source on a HP 400 running Domain 10.4,
and having problems getting output to a Paintjet XL.
If I send output through a pipe to a spooler, there aren't any complaints,
but there's no output, either. If I send to a file, and then try to print,
the spooler tells me the file is too large to print. (I ftp'd the binary over
PC and tried printing from there. The first 90% of the file was fine,
then it stopped)
I already know that the postscript code is fine, since I printed it on the
PC (which is already running GS) (Very well, actually--it was 4 times faster
than a commercial program I got to do the job--my congrats to the authors :).
I have no problems with either the gif or X11 devs.
If I can get an X bitmap, that would work too. I'm told the spooler can
handle it. I'm not sure what the -sNODISPLAY option does-when I use it, there
doesn't seem to be any output whatsoever.
Thanks for any help you can offer.
