L. Peter Deutsch,
I have installed Ghostscript 2.5.2 (9/20/92) on our IBM RS/6000 running
AIX 3.2 with MIT X11R5 and IBM cc/c89/xlc 1.02. There are two small bugs.
1) The identifier op_def_table is declared in both "opdef.h:74" and
"iinit.c:59". `c89' gives a severe error, but `cc' compiles. See below.
2) AIX has a well-known bug where the function DisplayWidthMM() gives
absurd values for some Xstations with hardware panning. Thus, I set
the following resource:
Ghostscript*xResolution: 91
However, this was ignored unless I also had:
Ghostscript*yResolution: 91
This is because of the logic in gdevxini.c function gdev_x_open.
I think it only uses the resources if both are defined. See below.
Perhaps it should have this kind of structure:
if ( x_res_str )
x_res = atof(x_res_str);
else
{ ...
}
if ( y_res_str )
y_res = atof(y_res_str);
else
{ ...
}
Thank you,
Daniel Lewart
