Sure enough, gxditview from groff-1.06 fails to install under Openwin 2, even with the 
X11R4 widget libraries.
Not sure where it/I went wrong.
Here's my procedure & the errors for your amusement.

Also, it would be nice if one could do 'configure --prefix' for gxditview.
