All the problems I had seem to have gone away..

1) I had ghostscript problems with my startup files...
2) I didn't do a make install.dev in xditview

I think the installation process for groff should go a bit smoother...

There should be a way to test the installation before installing
(perhaps moving all the relevant files to a staging area and running make test
perhaps...)

A copy of groff 1.05 (one version older) should be kept on prep.
