   However, the tmac.an macros for Ultrix
   are very different from groff's version: Ultrix's version
   takes control of the whole page layout and defines some
   macros of which the man pages make essential use.

The file tmac/man.ultrix in the groff distribution provides
definitions of a couple of macros peculiar to Ultrix.  This would need
to be installed as /usr/local/lib/groff/tmac/man.local.

If you still have problems, I suggest you submit a complete bug
report.  See the file BUG-REPORT in the groff distribution.
