A very simple question for anyone who has been distributing a *text* file from a texinfo source: in some files .text on prep.ai.mit.edu, one can find headers like: "This is Info file standards.text, produced by Makeinfo-1.47 from the input file standards.texi." * Anybody out there knows how that works: * getting a *text* [not an Info] file with makeinfo? Until now, I used some sed(1) command to strip off the unwanted lines used by Emacs to locate nodes, and the Tag list. I would prefer to use a standard makeinfo command but wasn't able to figure it out (no hint in the Texinfo Info manual). Thanks [for any solution], Marcus -- ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// //Marcus Speh__II. Institut f. Theor.
