Note the final qualification.  I know of no place in the so-called
First World, where FSF would not be held liable for the damage
incurred by a virus contained in its distribution tapes or CD-ROM.
Other kinds of irrevocable implied warranty may be readily adduced to
the same effect.

Only that (by analogy) the FSF can be no more successful in its
efforts to override the copyright of derivative works falling under
the provisions of the GPL, than is permitted under the copyright law.
