In <6672@columbia.edu> kearns@cs.columbia.edu writes: >Does anyone know the facts about Scribe? Brian wrote Scribe while at CMU. Someone else there, a faculty member?, convinced him to sell it to him so that his company could sell it in the commercial marketplace. "We concluded the deal over a bottle of fine wine." This comes from a CACM issue that had Brian and two other people on the cover, who got awards for contributions while under the age of 30. It came out within the past two years, as I recall. /r$ -- Please send comp.sources.unix-related mail to rsalz@uunet.uu.net. Use a domain-based address or give alternate paths, or you may lose out.
