    Hi GNU:

    I'm a very happy user of tar-1.11.1.  Very nice work.

    Minor problems:

      Compiling under sun OS 4.1.3 under GNU gcc-2.3.2 the library -lnsl has disappeared,
      and needs to be commented out of the Makefile...

      The remote machine tar works very nicely, but in the absence of a remote device name
      it should probably default to the default name.  For example:

          this works:  tar tf lima:/dev/rst1

          this doesn't even though the default device is /dev/rst1:  tar tf lima:

      Finally, and this is an enhancement request rather than a bug, the --totals should
      work for listings as well as for writes.  We have umpteen tar tapes/files that we
      would like to size without using a dumb awk script... (The dumb awk scripts are
      also tough to write for the older tars that used to put the size right up against
      the user for large files!!!)

          this would be nice:  tar tf file.tar --totals
