gawk produces some rather interesting results when given the following:
BEGIN {
5a = 10;
print 5a
b = 6 + 5a
print b
c = (6) + (5a)
print c
}
This is definately bad awk code. (I would never write something like
this on purpose. A bug in another program that generates awk code
caused something similar to the above to be output.)
awk, mawk, and nawk all generate a syntax error when given the above
code.
