Hi all:

  Hoping someone has seen this. GNU patch 2.0.12u8 on an Amdahl
running 2.1  The compile works fine, then the following occurs at run
time:

Patching file foo2 using Plan A...
Assertion failed: hunk, file patch.c, line 339
/usr/src/dss/nas/gnu/patch/2.0.12u8/sandbox/patch: abort or program
    event (signal 6) -- Core dumped


We've used multiple patch files, and multiple files to be patch -- all
have the same error codes. The <assert.h> header is a little
different, but not enough to seemingly cause problems. Instead, this
appears to be something dealing with I/O.

The assertion happens to occur after a large number of calls, and
we've got "sdb" for a debugger (thanx Amdahl :)) Any help would be
sincerely appreciated.
