Bug Report on textutils sort

#227

The enclosed (copyrighted) file contains a very long ASCII file
that makes sort produce an incorrect outputfile. My sort comes
   from gnu textutils-1.2.

   sort bugsort | grep -n "^AA[T-X]" | more
   46:AATI 10043 45521215 0
   47:AAX 58747 19191305 0
   16386:AAV 47183 85185476 8

In case this helps, I checked using GNU sort from GNU textutils-1.3,
as from prep.ai.mit.edu on 92-03-18 and compiled with GNU C 1.40 on a
386/ix 2.0.2 system; it seems to work fine here:

	~/1) sort bugsort.dat | grep -n "^AA[T-X]"
	47:AATI 10043	45521215	0
	48:AAV 47183	85185476	8
	49:AAX 58747	19191305	0
	~/1) type sort
	sort is hashed (/usr/local/gnubin/sort)
	~/1)
